BREAKING: The Botola returns!

The Moroccan championship is set to resume in four to five weeks time.

It was Othman El Ferdaous from the ministry of youth and sports, who first confirmed that Botola will return in the end of July after putting together a health protocol in cooperation with the ministry of interior and health.

According to Ferdaous, who presented his statement to the parliament on Tuesday, clubs should be allowed to train from the end of this week in hopes of the league starting again between late July and early August. When it does eventually get back to the screens, it would’ve been about five months since the last league match, between Nahdat Zemamra and Rapide Oued Zem.

As for the title, it’s still up for grabs, with Wydad Casablanca, Raja Casablanca, FUS Rabat, Mouloudia Oujda and RS Berkane all within reach of each other.
