Zoran Manojlovic lasts only six months at the helm of Wydad Casablanca, following a poor run of form.
According to local sources, Wydad Athletic Club decided on Monday to terminate the contract of Manojlovic by mutual consent, just two days after the disappointing performance against Petro Atletico in Angola, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Serbian leaves the reigning league champions in 2nd place of the Botola with seven wins from eleven rounds, right behind RS Berkane. An early cup-exit at home to rivals FAR Rabat in September fueled the critics, but it was the recent capitulation in the Arab Champions Cup knockout-match against Raja which really marked the beginning of the end. The Reds were beaten on away-goals after losing a 4-1 lead, with Raja making it 4-4 in the dying seconds of the return-leg.
Wydad are believed to have found their replacement already, with Sébastien Desabre set to return. The Frenchman has gained valuable experience in Uganda and Egypt recently, even recommending players from the former nation, such as the newly signed Joel Madondo.
