Kodjo Laba’s situation at RS Berkane is still up in the air, as his agent denies any agreement with Espérance de Tunis.
With thirteen goals in the league and four in the CAF Confederations Cup, Kodjo Laba has stood up as the most important player at Nahdat Berkane following the departure of Ayoub El Kaabi last summer. The Togolese international is scoring for fun these days and will be a huge loss if he were to leave after the season.
His contract is set to expire in June and while RSB are desperately trying to hand the 27-year-old an improved contract, other clubs have been initiating discussions with his agent, who says that no decision has been made. This was also confirmed by the man himself on social media Wednesday night, following two goals against Hassania Agadir:
“I wanna take this opportunity to reaffirm my attachment to the club of my heart, RSB. I have not signed a preliminary contract with any clubs in Tunisia, Qatar or Saudi Arabia… Let’s stay calm and focus on the objectives for the season. My blood is Orange. My future is Orange.”
Some have claimed that Tunisian giants and reigning CAF Champions League winners, Espérance, already have a preliminary agreement with Laba, which has now been denied by his agent. From what we’ve heard, he is still upen for negotiations with both his current club and other potential suitors.
